This center is a pioneer in Dual training in the chemical family in Galicia and has been teaching this modality since 2013 with the company Repsol, carrying out shared training between the educational center with training and effective work at the facilities of the Repsol Refinery in A Coruña. In addition, since 2017, Dual training agreements have been established under the ordinary regime with other companies in the industrial estates of the productive environment of the province of A Coruña such as Hijos de Rivera (brewery), Finsa and Foresa (wood sector), Leyma (dairy), and FCT agreements with Reganosa, Bioethanol, APPlus, SGS, among others.

The Department of Chemistry Training Cycles of the IES A Sardiñeira tries, since its creation, to provide quality training appropriate to the demands of these companies in order to facilitate the employability of students. The close relationship between the school and the companies allows the teaching materials and methodologies used in the teaching-learning process to be improved and adapted.

The relationship between IES A Sardiñeira and the Repsol industrial complex in A Coruña dates back to 2003, the year in which the Chemical Process Industries training cycle was implemented, which was taught by teachers from the educational centre in collaboration with the company's training staff. Throughout these 18 years, the relationship has been maintained and strengthened through teacher training at the refinery's own facilities, through stays in companies and collaboration in different activities such as the Repsol Foundation's "Entrepreneurship in Vocational Training" program.
